  • 2 pie crusts homemade or pre-made
  • 20 oz apple pie filling canned or homemade
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon milk

  • Trim the edges off the circular pie crust to create a square.
  • Cut the square into 4 sections.
  • Use a food processor to chop the apple pie filling and top each section with apple pie filling.
  • Use the discarded edges of the circle to cut strips. Lay the strips over the apple pie filling to make mummy gauze.
  • Use a fork to crimp pie edges together.
  • Place the pies in the basket of the air fryer and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until the crust begins to turn golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by stirring together the confectioners sugar and milk/water.
  • Drizzle the glaze over strips of crust and place googly eyes on the tarts.
