Air Fryer Mini Apple Pies

Air fryer apple pies are easy to make and so delightful to eat! The air fryer cooks up these mini apple pies with crispy and perfectly browned crusts. Drizzled with a quick glaze before you can devour them!

Mini Apple Pies

  • 2 14 ounce refrigerated pie crusts or homemade
  • 20 ounces apple pie filling canned or homemade

Glaze

  • ¼ cup confectioners sugar
  • teaspoon milk

Instructions

  • Cut out 8 circles in the prepared pie crust. 
  • Top 4 pie crust circles with apple pie filling and top with additional pie crust.
  • Use a fork to crimp pie edges together and a knife to slice an “X” in the center. 
  • Place the pies in the basket of the air fryer and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until the crust begins to turn golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by stirring together the confectioners sugar and milk/water. 
  • Drizzle the glaze over finished pies and serve.

Expert Tips for Making Air Fryer Apple Pies
These tips will make sure your mini apple pies come out perfectly crisp, browned and delightful!
Make sure the apples in the pie filling are chopped into small pieces, so they fit easily inside the pie crusts. If they seem to chunky, simply cut the apples up a bit.
Roll out the crust to ⅛ of an inch so they cook up quickly and evenly in the air fryer.
When sealing the edges of the pie crust, be sure to press down firmly so the are firmly sealed so they don’t open in the air fryer. 
Allow the air fryer apple pies to cool completely before adding the glaze.
Mini apple pies should be stored in the refrigerator and then quickly reheat using a microwave or oven.
