In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until fully cooked and no longer pink. Drain off excess fat and return the beef to the skillet.
Add garlic powder, onion powder, and shredded cheddar cheese to the cooked beef. Stir until the cheese is fully melted.
Distribute the flavorful beef mixture into the flour tortillas and garnish with your desired toppings.
Serve the cheeseburger tacos immediately, with extra toppings on the side for customization. Enjoy this quick and delicious twist on traditional tacos!
- Be sure to drain off any excess grease after cooking the ground beef. This is especially important if using beef with more fat.
- Be cautious adding salt. I purposefully eliminated the salt from this recipe because I found the cheese added salt and so more wasn't necessary. If you decide to add some be sure to taste first and add in small increments.
- Use dried seasonings to give a more “cheeseburger-like flavor” since this is how burgers are seasoned.
