In a small saucepan over medium heat, use the oil to cook the white parts of the green onions and 1 clove garlic for a few minutes or until fragrant and tender.
Add the chili sauce, cranberry sauce, brown sugar, orange zest and orange juice whisking together until heated through and smooth.
Place the meatballs in a small 2 quart crock pot and pour the prepared sauce on top.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
Top with the green parts of the green onions and serve.
- Adjusting the Sauce. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little water or chicken broth to achieve the desired consistency. On the other hand, if it's too thin, simmer it uncovered for a bit to allow it to thicken.
- Serve the Meatballs Warm. Serve the meatballs in the crockpot for parties so they can stay warm throughout your party. You may need to occasionally add a bit of liquid and stir them around as they sit.
- Watch the Cooking Time. Not all slow cookers will cook the same so you may need to make adjustments based on your specific slow cooker model.
