This refreshing Blueberry Mimosa is perfect for all of your spring and summer gatherings! Easy to make with just two ingredients, this simple cocktail is sure to be the star of your next brunch!
Start by chilling both the sparkling wine and the blueberry lemonade in the refrigerator for at least a few hours before making the mimosa.
Fill 8 champagne flutes halfway with blueberry lemonade.
Slowly add the chilled sparkling wine to the blueberry lemonade, stirring gently to combine. Add more or less as desired.
Optionally, garnish each glass with fresh blueberries or a twist of lemon for a decorative touch.
Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing and fruity blueberry mimosa!
Notes
Slowly add the sparkling wine: The faster you pour, the faster foam forms causing the potential for overflow. Therefore, it’s best not to rush when pouring the sparkling wine into the glasses.
Choose dry or brut sparkling wine: Be sure to look for “dry,” “extra dry,” or “brut” on the label. These varieties will perfectly complement the sweetness of the juice or lemonade. Avoid sweeter varieties such as “doux,” “sec,” and “demi-sec” because these will make the finished drink too sweet.
Use proper glassware: Mimosas should be served in either traditional stemmed champagne flutes or stemless champagne flutes.
Store leftovers separately: Leftover sparkling wine will keep its bubbles for up to 48 hours when properly sealed and stored in the refrigerator. Store any leftover juice or lemonade in its original container in the refrigerator for the time frame indicated on the packaging.
