I am always on the lookout for easy crockpot dinner ideas. Slow cooker chicken legs, slow cooker cabbage roll soup, and cranberry pork tenderloin in the crockpot are favorites in my family.
I love being able to dump ingredients in the crockpot and not worry about dinner until it's time to serve!
These crockpot pork chops with ranch dressing are a new favorite in our dinner rotation! They are dreamy, creamy, and packed full of flavor.
We like to serve them over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles with a quick and easy side dish like green beans almondine, roasted brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes, or instant pot asparagus.

Ingredients
Aside from the flavor-packed, slowly simmered gravy, my favorite thing about this recipe is that it has just THREE ingredients!
No more wandering through the grocery store trying to remember what to purchase...just grab these three ingredients and you are ready for mealtime!
- Pork Chops: Choose boneless and high-quality for the best results, I like to trim mine before adding them to the crockpot to remove any excess fat.
- Dry Ranch Seasoning Packet: This ingredient adds all the flavor to the sauce.
- Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup: This easy, canned product is the base of the gravy and the hero of all crockpot meals.
See the recipe card further down the page for the exact quantities of each ingredient.
Substitutions
When using a three-ingredient recipe like this one, you won't need to worry about too many substitutions but here are a few that come in handy!
- Pork Chops: Slow cooker pork chops also work with bone-in chops but they may take a little longer to cook.
- Dry Ranch Seasoning: If you prefer to use homemade seasonings, you can make your own dry homemade ranch dressing seasoning mix.
- Cream of Chicken Soup: Any creamy soup such as cream of mushroom soup, celery, or other works too!
Equipment
Clean-up is a breeze with this recipe. All you need is:
- Crockpot or slow cooker. You can even use the slow cook setting on a multicooker.
- Small mixing bowl for mixing the ranch seasoning and soup.
- Whisk or spoon for mixing the gravy.
How to Make Slow Cooker Ranch Pork Chops
Let's take a look at the basic steps for making this easy crockpot recipe. For more detailed instructions, check the recipe card further down.
Start by preparing your pork chops by trimming off any extra fat.
If desired, you can spray your crockpot with nonstick spray. My model is non-stick so I am able to place the pork chops directly into the unit without any issues.
Next, it's time to make the delicious gravy!
In a medium bowl, whisk together the ranch packet with the cream of chicken soup and add a few tablespoons of water to help everything incorporate a little easier.
TOP TIP: Depending on the brand of soup, you may not need to add any additional water at all! However, when I use the Campbell's brand, I usually add 2-3 tablespoons.
Pour the prepared gravy over the pork chops in the slow cooker.
Once everything is in the slow cooker, I like to gently lift the chops to get a little bit of the gravy underneath. Trust me, when you taste how good it is, you will want the gravy over every bite as well!
Finally, place the lid on the crockpot and cook low for six hours or high for four.
TOP TIP: Pork chops come in all different sizes, so depending on the thickness of your meat and the type of crockpot you have the cooking time may vary slightly. You can check the doneness by using a digital thermometer to check the temperature. It's ready when the center registers 145° F.
Once the pork chops are cooked through, you can remove them and serve. I like to transfer the gravy into a bowl and serve it with the meal.
Variations
With only three ingredients, it's easy to add a few more to change up your ranch pork chops! Here are some of my favorite variations.
- Make it mushroom: Use condensed mushroom soup instead of chicken. Feel free to also experiment with other favorite "cream of" condensed soups.
- Add veggies: Feel free to add broccoli, carrots, or other veggies to add some texture and additional nutrients to your meal.
- Make it homemade: Make this dish truly homemade by using homemade cream of mushroom soup and homemade ranch seasoning.
Storage
This dish heats up really well! Store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. To reheat, cook in the microwave or on the stovetop.
⭐️ BUDGET-FRIENDLY GROCERY HACK: When pork is on sale, sometimes I prep this meal as a freezer bag meal. Place the pork chops in a freezer bag. Then mix up the gravy and pour it over the pork chops. Store it in the freezer for up to three months. Thaw it out in the refrigerator for 24 hours before you plan to cook it for a quick and easy meal
